Neil Fox was born in 1956 and played as centre three-quarter for Wakefield Trinity. He has scored more points than any other play in the game. - 6,220 from 358 tries and 2,574 goals in 828 matches for his six clubs and his country. When he was a player-coach in Wellington, New Zealand, he scored a further 102 points. During the last nine years of his career, he played as a forward. No player before him has played 20 test matches in those colours.

During the remainder of his career, he coached and played for Hull KR, York, Bramley, Huddersfield and Bradford again, as well as in Wellington.
He retired on the 19th August 1979, after he had kicked a few more goals for Northern in a Yorkshire Cup win at Huddersfield.
