RUGBY CARERS’ SUPPORT
Now with Ethnic Minority Outreach Carer Support
Rugby Carers’ Support has been based at CVS House in Rugby for over twelve years and is a free service for carers in a several ways.
We provide information about services which are available and organisations, local and national. For every Carer who registers with us either by telephone, in person or through our website, there is a free copy of the Rugby Carers’ Handbook and a quarterly newsletter. Being informed enables carers to have more control over their own lives and the lives of those for whom they are caring.
Support groups, where carers can meet, share experiences. There is also a training and learning element to these.
Someone is here to listen and give emotional support, on a one to one basis, when it is most needed.
We encourage carers to recognise themselves and be given recognition for the difficult job they do. Ensuring that information reaches them and support is available, helping to reduce some of the negative feelings, such as guilt and despair and feel less alone and isolated to feel less alone and isolated.
